Oaty Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degC/350 degF.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder together.
  3. add oats and rub in butter until mix resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Add sugar, syrup and choc chips until it forms a stiff dough.
  5. Roll on a floured surface and cut out rounds or roll into a 9cm diameter sausage and slice into eight for chewy cookies.
  6. Bake on a parchment covered tray for 20 - 30 minutes.
