My Mother's Chicken Salad
- 3 to 4 Chicken tenders
- 1/2 of an onion Onion
- 2 stalks Celery
- 1/2 clove Garlic
- 1 Mayonnaise
- 1 Salt and pepper
- Slice the onion and celery, and chop up the celery leaves too if you like.
- Soak both in salted water for about 15 minutes.
- There's no need to remove the sinew from the chicken since you'll be removing it later.
- Heat the crushed garlic in oil in a pan, and when it's fragrant, add the chicken and cook on both sides until browned.
- Season with salt and pepper as you cook.
- When they are cooked, take them out and cool.
- Drain the vegetables well.
- When the chicken has cooled shred them with your hands and mix with the vegetables from Step 2.
- Flavor with mayonnaise and pepper.
- Adjust the salt while tasting.
- Add some mustard or lemon juice to taste.
