Beef Tenderloin In Wine Sauce Recipe

  1. Sprinkle beef proportionately with salt and pepper.
  2. Place in an aluminum foil-lined roasting pan.
  3. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min.
  4. Heat butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Add in onion, garlic, and mushrooms.
  6. Cook, stirring often, 7 min.
  7. Stir in wine and next 3 ingredients.
  8. Whisk together beef broth and all-purpose flour, and stir into wine mix.
  9. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 min or possibly till onion is tender.
  10. Remove beef from oven, and top with sauce.
  11. Bake beef 18 more min or possibly to desired degree of doneness, basting once.
  12. Transfer beef to a serving platter, reserving sauce in pan.
  13. Let beef stand 10 min before slicing.
  14. Serve with sauce.
  15. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
