Fran'S Chicken Liver Pate
- 1 small onion, peeled and cut up
- 1 very small garlic clove, peeled and quartered
- 1 egg
- 1/2 lb. fresh chicken livers
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- Put onion, garlic and egg in blender.
- Cover and process for 1 minute at high speed.
- Add chicken livers; cover and blend for 2 minutes or until smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients; cover and blend at high speed 2 more minutes until smooth.
- Pour into well-buttered 2-cup souffle dish; cover with foil.
- Set in pan of hot water.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325u0b0.
- Remove foil; cool.
- Cover and chill overnight.
