Blueberry Basil Martini Pops

  1. Combine the water and sugar together in a small pot.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. Add the basil and stir.
  4. Remove from the heat, cover and cool to room temperature to make a basil-infused simple syrup.
  5. Strain, discarding the solids.
  6. Puree the blueberries, lemon juice and basil syrup in your blender in batches.
  7. Strain into a large bowl, mashing the puree around with a spoon to extract as much as liquid as you can.
  8. Discard the solids.
  9. Whisk with vodka.
  10. Fill the pop molds with the blueberry mixture leaving 1/4 inch at the top.
  11. Freeze until slushy, then insert a stick in each.
  12. Freeze overnight, until solid.
