Boysenberry And Blueberry Compote Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. Boysenberries (about 9 ounce.)
- 1 1/2 c. Blueberries (about 9 ounce.)
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 c. Grand Marnier
- 2 tsp Freshly grated orange zest
- 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 1/2 c. Water
- In a heavy saucepan cook berries and sugar over moderately high heat, stirring till sugar is dissolved.
- Add in Grand Marnier and zest and cook, stirring occasionally, till mix just comes to a boil.
- While mix is coming to a boil, in a small bowl dissolve cornstarch in water and stir in berries.
- Simmer compote, stirring, 3 min, or possibly till slightly thickened and cold.
- Serve compote hot or possibly chilled.
- Makes about 2cups.
