Bj's Hamburger Chowder Recipe

  1. Brown beef and onion in deep kettle, stirring.
  2. Add in tomatoes, consomme, water and bouillon.
  3. Simmer while preparing celery and carrots.
  4. Add in lima beans, corn, carrots, celery and cook a few min before adding barley.
  5. Then add in barley and seasonings.
  6. Cook slowly, covered, for 45 min to 1 hour.
  7. If too thick, add in more consomme.
  8. Great for cool snowy days.
