Easy Salisbury Steak
- 1 12 lbs ground beef
- 13 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 14 cup onion, finely chopped
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can mushroom gravy
- Mix all ingredients, EXCEPT the gravy.
- Shape into 6 oblong patties.
- In a skillet, brown patties in a small amout of butter or shortening, on both sides.
- Pour off any fat.
- Add gravy, cover & simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes & a vegetable.
