Shishito Pepper, Wiener Sausage, and Garlic Saute

  1. Wash the Shishito peppers thoroughly.
  2. Remove the stems and poke a hole in the exposed area with a toothpick (this will prevent the peppers from exploding).
  3. Cut the wieners into halves lengthwise.
  4. Slice the garlic, and crush the peppercorns.
  5. Pour olive oil into a frying pan.
  6. Add sliced garlic and carefully saute over low heat.
  7. When the garlic releases its aroma, add wieners and continue to saute.
  8. Add the Shishito peppers to the pan and keep sauteing.
  9. Season lightly with the salt to taste.
  10. Sprinkle crushed black pepper.
  11. Turn off the heat, and serve.
