Brown Sugar Pound Cake Recipe
- 1 lb LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
- 1/2 c. WHITE SUGAR
- 1 1/2 c. SHORTENING (PART BUTTER)
- 1/2 tsp BAKING Pwdr
- 5 x Large eggs SEPARATED
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 3 c. FLOUR
- 1 tsp VANILLA
- SEPARATE THE Large eggs.
- BEAT THE EGG WHITES Until STIFF.
- CREAM THE SHORTENING Add in THE SUGARS AND BEAT AGAIN.
- STIR IN WELL BEATEN EGG YOLKS.
- SIFT FLOUR WITH THE BAKING Pwdr AND Add in ALTERNATELY WITH Lowfat milk TO THE SUGARS.
- Add in NUT AND VANILLA.
- Mix in EGG WHITES.
- POUR INTO GREASED AND FLOURED TUBE PAN.
- BAKE AT 350 DEG F FOR 1 1/2 Hrs.
