Prevents Colds! Nabe (Hot Pot) With Lots of Ginger
- 1 as much as you want Ginger
- 1 bunch Garlic chives
- 1/2 bag Bean sprouts
- 1 around 100 grams Pork (I used roast this time)
- 3 Shiitake mushrooms
- 1/3 block Tofu
- 50 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Cooking sake
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Chicken soup stock (powdered)
- 1/2 clove Garlic
- Prepare the ingredients.
- Cut the chives, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and pork into bite-size pieces.
- Slice the ginger into fine julienne.
- At my house, we usually use one bag of ginger for each person.
- Use as much as you like!
- Add the ingredients to an earthenware pot.
- Thinly slice the garlic.
- Layer the ingredients in the pot in this order: bean sprouts, chives, pork, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms.
- Finally, place the ginger on top.
- If you're using an earthenware pot for one person, the ingredients will look like they're piled on high, but don't worry about it.
- Cover with the lid and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- After the ingredients reduce in volume, cook over high heat until everything is cooked through.
- It's done.
- Drizzle on some sesame oil to taste - it's delicious!
