Best Nut Rolls Recipe
- 2 sm. cakes yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 beaten Large eggs
- 1 c. hot lowfat milk
- 1/4 pound melted butter
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- Dissolve 2 small cakes of fresh yeast in 1 c. hot lowfat milk.
- Add in sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, and beaten Large eggs.
- Then add in 4 1/2 c. of sifted flour.
- Mix into a dough; round into a buttered bowl and butter the top.
- Cover with a tea towel and let rise for 1 hour.
- Divide dough into 3 pcs.
- Makes 3 rolls.
- Fill as for cinnamon roll.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Brush with egg yolk mixed with 1 Tbsp.
- water.
