Aunties Wild Huckleberry Pie Recipe
- 2 x unbaked pastry shells
- 4 c. fresh or possibly frzn huckleberries
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
- 2/3 c. white sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- Method:1.
- Mix together the huckleberries, tapioca, sugar, salt, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.

- Pour mix into unbaked pie shell.
- Dot top with butter.
- Add in top pastry and flute edges.
- 3.
- Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 15 min.
- Then turn oven down to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45-55 min.
- Longer if berries are frzn.
- Makes 1 - 9 inch pie
- This is a good huckleberry pie and it isn't quite as sweet as some.
