Beer Buns Recipe
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. scalded lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 c. flour (approximately)
- Sprinkle yeast in water; let stand a few min.
- Stir till dissolved.
- Pour warm lowfat milk over butter, sugar and salt.
- Cold to lukewarm; add in yeast, egg and 2 c. flour.
- Beat well.
- Add in sufficient flour to make dough not stick to bowl.
- Knead; place in greased bowl till doubled.
- Put 1 tsp.
- meat mix in middle of ball dough like a bun shape.
- Flatten and healthy pinch together tightly.
- Place gathered side on cookie sheet.
- Let rise.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
