Apple Mirin Cups Recipe
- 8 lrg red apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, sliced into pats
- 8 Tbsp. mirin (a sweet Japanese rice wine)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp. raisins
- Using 8 small microwavable bowls, place 1 sliced apple in each.
- Add in 1 pat butter, 1 Tbsp.
- mirin, a dash of cinnamon and 1/2 Tbsp.
- raisins to each dish.
- Microwave on high, 4 apples at a time, for 5 to 7 min or possibly to desired tenderness.
- Serve with chilled raspberry sake or possibly plum sake.
