Classic Stuffed Peppers
- 4 large green peppers
- 1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Italian Dressing
- 1-1/2 cups cooked long-grain white rice
- 1 can (14 fl oz/398 mL) tomato sauce, divided
- 1/4 cup water
- Heat oven to 400F.
- Cut tops off peppers; chop finely.
- Remove and discard seeds.
- Cook peppers, meat and onions in dressing in large skillet on medium heat until meat is evenly browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add rice and 1 cup tomato sauce; mix well.
- Mix remaining tomato sauce and water in 9-inch square baking dish.
- Stand peppers in baking dish; fill with meat mixture.
- Cover.
- Bake 35 to 40 min.
- or until peppers are tender.
- Serve peppers topped with sauce from bottom of dish.
