Classic Stuffed Peppers

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Cut tops off peppers; chop finely.
  3. Remove and discard seeds.
  4. Cook peppers, meat and onions in dressing in large skillet on medium heat until meat is evenly browned, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add rice and 1 cup tomato sauce; mix well.
  6. Mix remaining tomato sauce and water in 9-inch square baking dish.
  7. Stand peppers in baking dish; fill with meat mixture.
  8. Cover.
  9. Bake 35 to 40 min.
  10. or until peppers are tender.
  11. Serve peppers topped with sauce from bottom of dish.
