Fettuccine with Peas or Broccoli

  1. Cook fettuccine following label directions, just until barely tender.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat butter in a large skillet; saute onion in butter until tender.
  3. Stir in ham and vegetables.
  4. Stir in flour; cook 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender but crisp.
  5. Stir in cream gradually.
  6. Bring to boiling.
  7. Taste; add salt and pepper, if needed.
  8. Drain pasta; return to pan.
  9. Pour hot sauce over the fettuccine.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese.
  11. Toss and serve immediately.
