Dhal

  1. Add split peas to 6 cups boiling water, salt and saffron powder.
  2. Boil for 1/2 hour, or until soft.
  3. Using an immersion blender, puree peas.
  4. In a saucepan add oil, garlic, and cumin and fry until it is dark brown.
  5. Then pour oil in Dhal.
  6. Let sit for a few minutes.
