Bread Stuffing for Turkey
- 4 cups stale bread cubes
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon thyme, Marjoram or 14 teaspoon sage
- 12-1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 14 cup finely chopped onion
- 14 cup melted chicken fat
- 13 cup chicken stock
- Combine bread, seasonings and onion.
- Slowly add chicken fat, tossing lightly with a fork until blended.
- For a more moist stuffing, slowly add the hot water or stock.
- Allow 1 cup stuffing for each pound of poultry.
