Jam Jams
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- favorite jam or jelly
- Preheat oven to 350F Cream first five ingredients together, then add remaining three.
- Hand roll into 1 inch balls and place on greased baking sheet, keep 1/4 of dough to the side.
- Using your thumb or spoon make a depression in the balls then spoon in just enough jam to fill.
- Use remaining dough to make small tops to place over the jam.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
