Papa's vegetable soup
- 1 1 & 1/2 pounds stew beef trimmed and cut into bite size pieces.
- 2 can tomato sauce 15 ounce.
- 1 large onion
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatos.
- 1 frozen vegetables (20 + oz) more as needed
- 1 salt and pepper as needed
- 1 Bay leaf
- in large dutch oven or soup pot, add meat and sliced onion, cover meat with 1" water.
- bring to a boil, then simmer about 3-4 hours.
- add water as needed to keep meat covered, allow to reduce by half.
- add tomatos, tomato sauce and vegetables.
- stir.
- return to boil then simmer one more hour.
- add salt and pepper as needed
- you can add any ingredients as you need according to servings.
