Cubanesque Sandwich
- 2 ounces deli smoked ham, sliced
- 2 ounces deli rotisserie chicken, sliced thinly
- 1 dill pickle, sliced thinly
- spicy brown mustard, to taste
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 12 teaspoons butter, divided
- In a skillet (or on a griddle), melt half the butter.
- Briefly saute the ham and chicken in the butter until it is warmed through; push off to the side.
- Melt the remaining butter in the skillet.
- Place one piece of the sourdough bread in the melted butter.
- Dot the bread with spicy brown mustard, to taste.
- Place the ham and chicken on the bread.
- Add the sliced dill pickles.
- Top with the remaining slice of bread.
- Press down on sandwich with a spatula (or a small cutting board).
- After the first slice of bread is nicely browned, flip the sandwich carefully.
- Press down again.
- Continue to cook until bread is to desired degree of brownness.
- Slice sandwich diagonally in half.
- Enjoy!
