Savory shredded carrots
- 10 oz shredded carrots
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
- Heat olive oil.
- Add cinnamon, garlic and cumin.
- Cook for 1 minute.. Add carrots, syrup, and chicken broth.
- Season lightly with salt.
- Bring to a slow simmer.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed and carrots are tender.
