Peppermint Holiday Mold Recipe
- 12 peppermint candies
- 2 c. water
- 2 Packages (4 serving size) or possibly 1 pkg. (8 serving size) strawberry flavored gelatin
- 1 1/2 c. cool water
- 2 c. thawed non-dairy topping
- Place candies and 2 c. of water in saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and simmer gently, stirring occasionally till candy has melted.
- Completely dissolve gelatin in warm peppermint water in a bowl.
- Add in cool water and refrigeratetill slightly thickened.
- Spoon 2 1/2 c. of the thickened gelatin into the mold.
- Blend whipped topping into remaining gelatin.
- Spoon over clear layer in mold.
- Refrigerateat least 4 hrs.
- Unmold.
- Garnish with additional whipped topping and peppermint candies.
- Makes 5 c. or possibly 10 servings.
