Braunschweiger Glace Recipe
- 1 Tbsp. Unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 c. Cool water
- 1 c. Condensed sonsomme
- 1/2 lb (1 c.) braunschweiger
- 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp. Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Chopped onion
- Soften gelatin in cool water.
- Heat consomme to boiling.
- Remove from heat; add in gelatin and stir till dissolved.
- Pour into 2 c. mold; refrigeratetill hard.
- Blend remaining ingredients.
- Spoon out center of jellied consomme, leaving 1/2 inch on all sides.
- Fill center with meat mix.
- Heat the spooned out consomme until melted; pour over braunschweiger.
- Refrigeratehard.
- Unmold.
- Trim with slices of hard cooked egg.
- Use crackers as spreaders.
