Braunschweiger Glace Recipe

  1. Soften gelatin in cool water.
  2. Heat consomme to boiling.
  3. Remove from heat; add in gelatin and stir till dissolved.
  4. Pour into 2 c. mold; refrigeratetill hard.
  5. Blend remaining ingredients.
  6. Spoon out center of jellied consomme, leaving 1/2 inch on all sides.
  7. Fill center with meat mix.
  8. Heat the spooned out consomme until melted; pour over braunschweiger.
  9. Refrigeratehard.
  10. Unmold.
  11. Trim with slices of hard cooked egg.
  12. Use crackers as spreaders.
