Gimlet
- 2 ounces Plymouth gin
- 3/4 ounce homemade Lime Cordial (page 157)
- 1 lime wheel, for garnish
- Pour the gin and cordial into a mixing glass.
- Add large cold ice cubes and shake briefly but with conviction.
- Strain into a rocks glass over large cold ice cubes and garnish with a lime wheel.
- Dominant Flavors: juniper and lime
- Body: medium with sweet-sour tongue coating
- Dryness: dry to medium
- Complexity: medium
- Accentuating or Contrasting Flavors: hints of kaffir lime oils with honeyed agave
- Finish: long, lingering, gasping-for-air finish
- Glass: rocks
