Apple Country Chicken (Low Cal) Recipe

  1. Place curry pwdr in a wide frying pan and stir over medium heat till slightly darker in color (3-4 min).
  2. Add in apple, yellow onion, lemon juice, mushrooms, bouillon, and 1 1/2 C. of the apple juice; bring to a boil.
  3. Rinse chicken and pat dry; add in to pan.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer till meat near bone is no longer pink; cut to test (about 30 min).
  5. Lift chicken from pan; arrange on a hot platter.
  6. Keep hot.
  7. Blend flour and remaining 1/2 C. apple juice.
  8. Gradually add in to sauce in pan, stirring; increase heat to high and cook, stirring till sauce is thickened.
  9. Pour over chicken.
  10. The sauce also tastes good poured over baked potato or possibly rice.
  11. Serving Ideas : Serve with rice or possibly baked potatoes.
  12. NOTES : This was delicious.
  13. We served it with warm cooked rice.
  14. This was our dinner tonight and we thought it a wonderful dish.
  15. We served it with rice and broccoli.
  16. It is also fairly low-fat.
