Colette's Granola Bars
- 2 cups whole oats
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 23 cup raisins
- 12 cup unbleached cane sugar
- 12 cup wheat germ
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 cup chopped walnuts
- 12 cup honey
- 12 cup canola oil
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix first 8 ingredients (oats through walnuts) in large mixing bowl.
- Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl.
- Once well mixed, add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well with spatula.
- Batter will feel dry, but keep mixing.
- It will take a few minutes to moisten all of the batter.
- Press into greased 8 x 8 or 10 x 7 pan (glass preferred).
- Bake about 25 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
- Cool in pan.
- Cut when cool.
