Date and Hazelnut Bites
- 5 whole Dates, Pitted
- 80 grams Hazelnuts
- 2 Tablespoons Honey Or Agave Syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa, Plus Extra For Sprinkling
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil, Melted And Slightly Cooled
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Sugar (or Extract/essence)
- Place dates in 100ml of water, cover and leave in the fridge for around 4 hours.
- After the four hours, drain water (but retain 2 tablespoons) and place in a food processor with all the other ingredients (including the reserved 2 tablespoons water).
- Blitz for a couple of minutes until everything is well combined and chopped.
- Pour into tin lined with grease-proof paper and place in the freezer for an hour to harden.
- Cut into small squares and then keep refrigerated until ready to eat.
- Sprinkle with a little cocoa just before serving.
