Eggrolls
- 1 lb. ground pork, beef or chicken
- 1 tsp. oil
- 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
- 2 medium-size carrots, cut into tiny strips
- 1 c. water chestnuts
- 1 celery stalk, cut into small pieces
- 1 small onion, sliced thin
- 1/2 lb. green beans, cut into small pieces
- garlic, chopped
- 1 pkg. Spring rolls (available at frozen section in any Oriental store)
- soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste
- Brown meat in oil and set aside.
- Saute garlic until golden brown; add onion.
- Cook until done, add meat, then carrots. Continue stirring until half done, add green beans.
- Cook until half done; add cabbage, celery and water chestnuts.
- Season with salt, soy sauce and pepper to taste.
- Cook until half done.
- Remove from heat and put in strainer to drain.
- Let cool.
- Put filling in wrappers following instructions on package.
- Deep fry until golden brown.
- Serve with sweet and sour sauce.
