Aunt Jean's Golden Pound Cake Recipe
- 1 c. Butter -- at room Temperature
- 3 ounce Cream Cheese -- at room Temperature
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 5 whl Large eggs
- 2 c. Flour, All-Purpose -- Sifted
- 1/2 tsp Baking Pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Beat butter, cheese, and vanilla till light and fluffy.
- Gradually add in sugar, beating till smooth.
- Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
- Sift flour with baking pwdr and salt; add in to creamed mix in thirds, beating till smooth after each addition.
- Turn into a greased and lightly floured 9 x 5 x 3" loaf pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 min, or possibly till done.
