Rotel Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 4 each garlic cloves minced
- 28 ounces tomatoes peeled, whole, cut up
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 can tomatoes diced, with green chilies
- 2 tablespoons basil dried
- 2 teaspoons oregano dried
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup white wine
- In a 3 quart saucepan, over medium-low heat, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until onion is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except wine, heat to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Stir in wine and simmer 5 minutes.
