Russian Cabbage Soup Recipe

  1. Place meat and water in 5-qt soup kettle.
  2. Add in salt, pepper, tomatoes, garlic and onion.
  3. Bring to boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hrs.
  5. Shred cabbage and add in sugar, vinegar and a little more salt.
  6. Simmer gently another 1 1/2 hrs.
  7. I like to add in extra pepper!
  8. Serves 4 to 6.
