Chocolate Pretzel Rods OR Magic Wands for the kids

  1. line cookies sheets with wax paper
  2. melt semi sweet chocolate chips in a heavy sauce pan over very low heat stirring constantly when melted through take off heat and stir
  3. melt the white chocolate chips the same way as step 2 in another heavy sauce pan
  4. * pour the semi sweet chocolate into a tall heavy mug or cup and dip each pretzel rod in half way in and let excess drip off back into mug
  5. lay dipped pretzels on cookie sheet
  6. * Useing a spoon drizzle white chocolate onto pretzels and lightly coat with sprinkles if useing
  7. place cookies sheets in freezer for a hour or so to set chocolate on pretzels
  8. I like to store them in the refrigerator in a covered container
  9. * Notes: You can dip them in white chocolate and drizzle with the semi sweet chocolate and sometimes I crush up peppermint sticks or nuts and coat the pretzels instead of useing sprinkles and sometimes I leave them plain.
  10. Also you can roll the pretzels in the chocolate if thats easier than dipping them.
