Warming Ginger and Japanese Leek Soup
- 1 thumb Ginger
- 1/2 stalk Japanese leek
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 400 ml Water
- 1 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 dash Black pepper
- 1 Ichimi spice
- Julienne the ginger and Japanese leek into a length of 4 cm.
- Add sesame oil and ginger into a pot, and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the leek, and mix well.
- Add water, dashi powder, sake, and salt.
- When the soup starts to boil, turn down the heat.
- Add soy sauce and black pepper to adjust the taste.
- Sprinkle ichimi spice if you like.
