Purple Prune Plum Pie

  1. Halve and pit plums.
  2. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 of mixture over bottom of pastry shell.
  4. Overlap plums in circles on sugar mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining mixture and dot with butter.
  6. Bake at 425 degrees F 10 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to 350F (180C) F and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer.
