Flora's Grandmas Chocolate Pie

  1. In a bowl combine the sugar, flour, cocoa, and the egg yolks (save egg whites for meringue)
  2. In a medium saucepan place in butter to melt
  3. When melted add the milk and vanilla to butter.
  4. Slowly add water to the cocoa mixture making it into a paste.
  5. Whip out all the lumps.
  6. Add enough water to make the cocoa mixture portable.
  7. Pour into the milk mixture and continuously stir until thickened.
  8. when thick pour into your baked pie shell
  9. Make your meringue or use whip cream if you dont like it, which me and my husband dont.
