Asian Style Fish Parcels Recipe
- 4 x Plaice fillets, defrosted
- 2 x Cm, (1 inch) fresh root ginger, grated
- 2 Tbsp. Light soy sauce or possibly fish sauce Grated rind and juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp Clear honey
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 4 x Salad onions, cut into thin strips
- 1 lrg Carrot, cut into thin strips
- 1 sm Red pepper, cut into thin strips
- 2 tsp Sesame oil Egg noodles to serve
- Place the fish in a bowl.
- Mix together the ginger, soy or possibly fish sauce, lime rind and juice, honey and sesame seeds and spoon over the fish to coat.
- Leave to marinate for 10-15 min while preparing the vegetables.
- Preheat the oven to 190 C, 375 F, Gas Mark 5.
- Brush 4 squares of foil, approximately 30cm (12 inches) in diameter lightly with sesame oil.
- Arrange a fillet of plaice in the centre of each square, with some of the marinade and a quarter of the vegetables.
- Bring the corners together to create a parcel and place on a baking tray in the preheated oven for 15 min, till the fish flakes easily and the vegetables are just tender.
- Notes Delicious served with egg noodles or possibly Thai fragrant rice.
- NOTES : Deliciously light and fragrant plaice cooked in a foil parcel.
