Smoked Oyster Dip Recipe
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. of cream cheese
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoon onion juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tbsp. sherry (optional)
- 2 (4 ounce.) jars smoked oysters, minced
- Finely chopped chives or possibly black olives
- Bring cheese to room temperature; mix with mayonnaise, onion juice, paprika and sherry; whip till fluffy.
- Mix in finely minced smoked oysters and chives and/or possibly black olives.
- Serve with crisp dip crackers.
- REMARKS: This has been a favorite dip for many years.
- It is always requested, and this recipe has been passed on to so many people.
- If "onion juice" can't be found, I have found it just as good to use very finely minced onions.
- Remember to DOUBLE this recipe...one recipe is never sufficient.
