Herb Twist Recipe

  1. Combine 2 c. flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and herbs; mix well.
  2. In saucepan, heat lowfat milk, water, and shortening till hot.
  3. Add in to flour, then add in the egg and mix till moistened.
  4. Gradually add in remaining flour to make hard dough.
  5. Let rise in hot oven for 20 min.
  6. Punch down; divide into 2 parts.
  7. Make twist.
  8. Place on greased cookie sheet; let rise.
  9. Bake for 20 to 25 min.
  10. For glazed appearance, brush with egg whites before baking.
