schmeer for Roasts
- 1 12 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 12 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 12 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed to powder
- 12 teaspoon dried basil, crushed to powder
- 12 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed to powder
- 18 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Combine spices in a small bowl.
- Add just enough water to make a very thick paste.
- Smear on beef roasts, pork roasts or chicken (whole or parts) before dry roasting.
