Grandmas Crunchy Crackers
- 1 cup Butter
- 8 ounces, weight Extra-sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne, Or Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Beat the butter and cheddar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Slowly add the flour, salt and cayenne or Old Bay.
- Get the mixer going again just until the dough is combined.
- Stir in (by hand) the Rice Krispies.
- Use teaspoons to drop little dough balls on a baking sheet.
- You can flatten them with the tines of a floured fork if youre my grandma, or your hands, if you dont want to wash another utensil.
- Bake for 14 minutes, and let cool a little before popping into your mouth.
