Homemade Sweet Banana Chips

  1. In a small dish, add water and lemon juice, mix well.
  2. Peel and thinly slice banana into about 1/8 inch segments.
  3. Place banana slices in lemon juice water.
  4. After 2 to 3 minutes of soaking, drain out water completely.
  5. Heat oil, deep fry the banana slices until they are crispy.
  6. Remove slices and cool.
  7. Then in a thick-bottomed pan, add coconut treacle (treacle is a coconut liquid, its brown in color and similar to molasses), sugar and cinnamon powder, bring to boil up to 100 C degrees (use a thermometer).
  8. Then add the treacle/caramel mixture to the banana and mix well.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
