Cajun Cafe's Bourbon Chicken Recipe

  1. Mix teriyaki sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, ginger, brown sugar, 1/2 c. white grape juice and bourbon.
  2. Stir till thoroughly blended.
  3. Pour 1/3 sauce on chicken pcs and mix.
  4. Chill for 3 hrs, or possibly best overnight.
  5. Save remainder sauce and chill.
  6. Braise chicken with marinade on medium-low heat till cooked.
  7. Remove from frying pan.
  8. In a 2-qt sauce pan heat remainder of bourbon sauce and add in 1/2 c. of white grape juice and 1 Tbsp.
  9. of sugar with 1/4 c. water.
  10. Bring to a simmer and stir till sugar is devolved.
  11. Add in chicken to sauce and stir till chicken is coated and its ready to serve.
  12. NOTES : This emulates the Bourbon Chicken at the Cajun Cafe in Houston, Texas only.
