Chocolate Chip Mint Dessert Recipe
- 1 pound Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 gal. chocolate chip mint ice cream
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 lg. can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. whipped cream
- Slivered almonds (optional)
- Crush cookies, mix with butter and pat into 2 (9 x 13 inch) pans.
- Soften the ice cream and spread on top of cookie mix.
- Freeze.
- Combine sugar, evaporated lowfat milk, butter, and chocolate.
- Cook 15 to 20 min till partially thick.
- Cold.
- Spread over ice cream, freeze.
- Whip the whipped cream; spread over chocolate and sprinkle with almonds (if you like).
- Keep frzn.
