Cheesy Beef Casserole
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
- chopped onion to taste
- chopped green pepper to taste
- 1 can (16 oz.) green beans
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella or Cheddar
- 2 cans (10 count) refrigerated biscuits
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onions and green pepper.
- Drain and discard fat.
- Add green beans and tomato sauce; cook until warm.
- In a greased 10-inch glass pie plate, pat enough biscuits together to form a bottom crust.
- Bake in 350u0b0 oven until slightly brown.
- Remove from oven and spoon ground beef mixture over crust.
- Arrange shredded cheese over beef mixture.
- Cut remaining biscuits in halves or quarters and roll in small balls. Arrange on top of cheese.
- Return to 350u0b0 oven and bake until biscuits are golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
