Mamma Janes Goulash

  1. Cut wieners into 1/4-inch slices crosswise.
  2. In a cast iron slillet or Dutch oven, melt butter, and over medium high heat, saute weiners, onions, and peppers until browned.
  3. Add tomatoes, with their juice, stir well.
  4. Prepare cornbread mix as instructed on package (youll typically need milk, as directed in the mix package).
  5. Pour or spoon over top of the mixture.
  6. Bake in a 400 degrees F oven 20 to 25 minutes, or until cornbread topping is golden brown.
