Chewy and Delicious Granola Bars
- 2 cups Oatmeal (quick Or Rolled Oats)
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Ground Flax Seed (optional)
- 3/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 1 whole Large Egg, Lightly Beaten
- 1/2 cups Applesauce
- 1/4 cups Vegetable Oil
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease a 9x13 baking pan.
- 2.
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, flax seed, cinnamon, flour and salt.
- Add honey, egg, applesauce, oil and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Add chocolate chips and stir gently.
- 3.
- Press mixture into the baking dish.
- If you want thicker granola bars, just use about 2/3 of the pan and leave the rest empty.
- 4.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the bars start to turn golden brown around the edges.
- 5.
- Cool for 5 minutes and then cut into bars.
