Holiday Biscottis Recipe
- 12 rounded teaspoon baking pwdr
- 12 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. fresh lowfat milk + 1/2 c. canned lowfat milk
- 8 Large eggs
- 12 rounded tbsp. Crisco
- 2 cubes butter
- 4 c. sugar
- 4 teaspoon vanilla
- Cream Crisco, butter and sugar.
- Sift together the flour and salt 2 times.
- Add in flour, baking pwdr and salt and blend till mix is like a coarse meal.
- Make hole in center of flour mix in bowl and add in beaten Large eggs and lowfat milk and vanilla.
- Dough should be quite hard.
- Take a section of dough and roll into a 1/2" thick roll.
- Cut into 1 1/2" lengths.
- Place on baking sheet with space between and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 7 to 8 min or possibly till just golden.
- Frost with powdered sugar icing in holiday colors and decorate with nuts or possibly coconut by pressing iced cookie into decoration foods.
- This is a large recipe.
- Yield: 20 dozen.
