Warm Apple Pudding Cake
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Butterscotch Flavor Instant Pudding
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, finely chopped
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Mix dry cake mix and spices, then use to prepare cake batter as directed on package; pour into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Beat dry pudding mixes, sugar, milk and water in medium bowl with whisk 2 min.
- Stir in apples; spoon evenly over batter.
- Place dish on rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake 1 hour 10 min.
- to 1 hour 15 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool slightly.
- (Sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.)
